Two academic committees report to the Research Center, namely the Research Committee and the Public Administratio​n Journal Edi-torial Board.

Research Committee: It is composed of a number of the IPA staff who are specializing in the field of administrative sciences and other related fields. This committee is formed by decision of the IPA Director General. The jurisdictions of the committee are as follows:

Studying annual and five-year plans of research in addition to making recommendations on such plans to be integrated in the IPA five-year plan.

Studying the issues proposed in the framework of the research plan by the Board of Directors, and selecting the appropriate in the light of the plan.

Studying and amending the detailed plans for the drafts of aca-demic works submitted by researchers. This task is carried out in accordance with the importance of the subject of academic work, the need for it and the experience of the researcher in the field of the proposed academic work.

Ensuring conformity of the academic work done with the original plan approved by the Committee. This task is carried out be-fore sending the academic work referees and based on the re-port submitted by the Research Center.

Selecting academic work arbitrators.

Reviewing referee’s reports and researchers` replies; taking ap-propriate decisions on the publication or modification of the academic work; or apologizing for not publishing the academic work.

Determining the amount of rewards in the light of referee’s re-ports and in accordance with the implementing rules of re-wards regulation as well as the provisions of the IPA publica-tion and copyright regulation.

Proposing research topics in addition to nominating a number of the IPA faculty members for full or part time work to complete the research.
