The training activities of the Department of Special Programs began in 1963-64. The purpose of these programs is to meet needs with a special nature that are not covered by other programs, and they target employees of government agencies, who are provided with the knowledge, skills, and experience that are called for by their training needs. The Department of Special Program Coordination, formerly the Department of Special Programs, satisfies the needs of agencies whose work requires programs not needed by other agencies. Thus, these programs cover one specific area or more. This means that the IPA offers such programs on demand.
