Translation
Translation at the IPA focuses on transferring authentic and distinguished academic production in the field of administration and other related academic fields into Arabic. Translation is regarded as one of the main activities of RSC. Moreover, the IPA is keen to support this activity and activate it in the various fields of administration, including the translation and publication of books and reviews or the translation of related articles, and publish them in the Public Administration Journal on a regular basis. Translation activity contributes to spreading global administrative culture and knowledge in Saudi Arabia and abroad.

​​​​​​Steps of applying for translation:​
  • Selecting the proposed academic work for translation. ​
  • Completing the application.
  • Reviewing the application by the Research Committee. If approved, the following procedure is observed:
    • Issuing an official letter to the translator of initial approval to translating the work.
    • Contacting with the foreign publishing house to reach an agreement and sign a contract. The translator is informed with the final approval.
​​​​​​Steps following work completion:​
  • The translator is receives two copies of the work, one paper and one electronic.
  • Ensuring that the translator complies with the translation application by comparing the application with the translated work.
  • The work shall be reviewed by a scientific reviewer.
  • Ensuring the validity of the translation and making any necessary amendments or suggestions.
  • Payment of the translator's entitlement upon approval of the scientific reviewers for the translation and the translator's commitment with the comments provided.​
Conditions to be met in the proposed scientific work for translation:​​
  • Addressing a central ​theme of administration in its broader sense or administrative development.
  • Be a recent edition.
  • Has no previous Arabic translation.​
Criteria applied by the scientific reviewer in reviewing the translation:​​​
  • Matched meaning.
  • Matched content.
  • Accurate drafting.
  • Correct Arabic language syntax.
  • Easy and smooth reading of the Arabic text.​​​

The translator submits a letter to the Director General of the Research and Studies Center expressing his desire to participate in the research activity by translating one of the scientific works into Arabic language.
