The National Observatory for Gender Balance Indicators is an interactive national electronic platform affiliated with the Institute of Public Administration, represented by the Gender Balance Center. It displays a set of local and international indicators provided by specialized authorities to support decision-makers in line with Sustainable Development Goal 5 on gender equality.

The Observatory monitors and tracks gender balance indicators in the work environment across the public, private, and non-profit sectors in Saudi Arabia, with periodic updates to ensure data accuracy and continuity.
The Services
The Observatory provides data for decision-makers and offers recommendations for creating a safe working environment. It is worth noting that observatories rely on gender statistics that indicate gaps and inequalities by assessing the situation of both men and women in multiple fields throughout the life cycle. These statistics are a modern branch of statistics, and have a special set of concepts, tools, and methods. These statistics produce detailed gender-specific data that is collected and classified separately for men and women. This data also allows to measure the differences between men and women in a variety of social and economic variables, which is necessary for generating gender statistics and is an important first step towards integrating gender issues into monitoring and evaluation systems.
