In its session No. (269) dated 7/10/2021, the Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), headed by His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, approved the establishment of the "Gender Balance Center". The GBC was developed as an administrative unit within the IPA's organizational structure to achieve the strategic objectives of Vision (2030) through the development and empowerment of human capabilities and the achievement of the principle of equal opportunities in the workplace. It is also concerned with achieving the 5th sustainable development goal, which is gender equality. The Center's aim is to coordinate the efforts of the kingdom's agencies to achieve gender balance. This will be achieved by providing initiatives and projects that close the gender gap, organizing training programs, and providing administrative, organizational, and strategic consultations and studies to implement the concept of equal opportunity and achieve gender balance.

Developing and implementing applied sessions on administrative leadership in the field of gender balance and equal opportunities; implementing training programs for employees across all sectors of the Kingdom to enhance the concept of gender balance; and fostering a healthy organizational environment within the agencies. This will serve as a driving force for production to ensure the accomplishment of organizations' desired outcomes and objectives.

Developing relationships and partnerships with local and global organizations concerned with gender balance. This would promote cooperation to close the gap between men and women on the market and improve the standing of the Kingdom on international gender balance indexes.

Follow-up and evaluation
Governance of work procedures in all agencies of the Kingdom in terms of gender balance and the principle of equal opportunities, by setting up equal opportunity committees in the workplace. This initiative aims to achieve organizational justice in all sectors of the kingdom and to govern the data of qualitative representation in the labor market. This will help measure and track the progress of all government agencies toward achieving sustainable development goals and progress in the indexes of the kingdom's regional and global ranking in gender balance.

Gender-based Statistics
Overseeing the relevant gender gap indexes to identify the challenges and obstacles encountered across all the Kingdom's sectors. This is based on an accurate and reliable database that shows how genders are represented in leading positions and jobs inside organizational structures. Further, this will provide accurate information to decision-makers at all levels to help close the current gap and rationalize the decisions for the economic and social development of both sexes.
The Permanent Advisory Committee on Gender Balance
It is a committee that reports to the IPA Director General. It involves government officials and aims to achieve gender balance and Saudi Vision goals (2030). The Committee focuses on recommending measures and initiatives that enhance organizational culture in support of the concept of gender balance. The Committee has a voice in all issues pertaining the elimination of the gender gap on the labor market.
